The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair met personally to publicize next month's bout.
Ex two-time unified boxing king Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I will break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's largest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers met for the customary stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is actually going ahead.
